Biography

Dr. Theresia Charles Numbi, hold over 9 years of practical experience in lecturing at Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College now Dar es Salaam Tumaini University, specializes in Local Content Compliance Law, International Trade, and Investment Laws. She serves as a seasoned facilitator and trainer at the Law School of Tanzania. Additionally, she is the Co-Founder and CEO of Lighthouse (EA) Legal Clinic and holds the position of Managing Partner at TRIANA ATTORNEYS. Dr Numbi is a member of Training Committee of the Tanzania institute of Arbitrators (TIArb) and an associate member of TIArb, A facilitator of Tanzania International Arbitration Centre (TIAC), Accredited Mediator & Arbitrator and an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Subordinate Courts. She is also a professional facilitator in Tanzania for strengthening capacity of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Farmer Organizations (FOs), Private Forestry Associations, Federations, Union, and Associations to ensure they fulfil their mandate and be accountable to the member but also, they operate as a business entity. Dr. Numbi has been featured in the citizen magazine as why formal training is key for women advancement in 2021 under the Raising Women program. Dr. Numbi obtained her Ph.D. in Law, specializing in Local Content Compliance Laws in the Mining Industry in relation to international trade and investment law, from St. Augustine University of Tanzania. She also holds an LLM degree in International Trade and Investment Law from Western Cape, as well as a certificate in Public Management from Florida International University.
